First Meeting of ECC Appoints Ronny Siahaan as New Chairman
The Ethics & Compliance Committee (ECC) of The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) held its first meeting, on 20 September 2017 in Jakarta. The meeting appointed Mr Ronny Siahaan (MedcoEnergi) and Krishna Ismaputra (ENI Indonesia) as the new chairman and vice chairman of the committee. The committee, which was known before as the Compliance Knowledge Exchange Forum (CKEF), merged and became an IPA committee in the 3rd quarter of 2017 and changed its name to the Ethics & Compliance Committee
Mr Ronny Siahaan, who was former vice chairman, replaced Mr Sunggul Naibaho (Total Indonesie) who was the Chairman of the previous committee.
There are two key objectives of the new committee. First of all, the committee shall act as the owner and overseer of the ethics & compliance program of the Indonesia Petroleum Association (IPA). Secondly, the ECC assists the Indonesia Petroleum Association (IPA) Board and its members in facilitating the development of an effective compliance and ethics program and promote the highest compliance and ethical culture amongst the oil and gas industry.
The scope of work of the committee is focused on the following areas: Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) & UU Anti-Korupsi Indonesia; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Competition and Anti-Trust (CAT); Anti-Fraud; and Protection of information.
Following the outcome of the meeting, the ECC IPA meetings will be conducted every 3rd Wednesday of each month at the IPA offices, to disseminate and evaluate the 2017 work program.
