Tunu is a mature giant gas field in Mahakam which already entering production declining phase. Drilling in Mahakam has entered industrialization phase since 2000;. The wells have been drilled in the optimized ways to push the performance. Several phases have been passed through until current development milestone. Currently, most of the wells are targeting marginal reserve Drop of oil price in mid-2014 had pushed the drilling team in Mahakam to further squeeze well duration beyond the technical limit in order to support well economic and continue drilling operation. More rigless operation, batch drilling, offline activities, and other initiatives have been introduced to reduce well duration and cost. As per today, positive impact is shown. Performance culture has growth among the team. Last milestone was delivering a shallow light architecture well within 3.4 days of rig duration. This achievement brings significant positive impact by opening more well candidates for future development in Mahakam.
