Oil and Gas basins that have a layer of sub-volcanic rocks are formed around a volcano area. This phenomena occur and have been proven by oil seepages that have occurred in certain volcanic areas, located in the North West Java Basin area. One of the prospect areas that has been researched for this paper is the Majalengka Area, which is an area with volcanic geology that formed around the now non-active volcano Mount Ciremai in this area. Volcanic rocks on the near surface have a heterogen physical property (Vp and density) because it is influenced by the rock forming processes. The structure that formed on the process will affect the seismic waves propagation characteristics (Dancer,2001). The effect of that heterogenity, volcanic rock layer has a much higher velocity than the sedimentary rock below it (Klaner,2013). In this environment, seismic acquisition parameters should be determined in order to obtain good data with a high signal to noise ratio. Seismic acquisition design has some parameters that are needed to be analyze such as Common Depth Poiny interval, fold coverage and far offset range. Therefore, dynamic and static studies for seismic acquisition design in a volcanic area are necessary to address the problems.
