This paper reviews Huffco Indonesia's Badak Field gas/ condensate gathering and separation along with condensate stabilization.Prior to 1983 condensate was stabilized using a simple three stage, heated separation system. A new system has been installed called a reflux complex stabilizer unit.Details of two systems are presented along with field test work that evaluates both systems as well as provide initial optimization information on the new unit. Also included is an outline of future test work on the new unit to determine ultimate optimization at unit limitation and evaluation of recommended feed instrumentation changes in order to shorten unsteady conditions during feed rate changes.
