With the emergence of CCS/CCUS wells worldwide in the current energy transition context, several aspects of well integrity will need to be reviewed. OCTG premium connections is one of the said aspects which this paper is aiming to describe the considerations. Authors will also show the different stages followed to develop and propose a methodology to evaluate OCTG premium connections in this application. A physical evaluation or also widely known as full scale testing (FST), will consider the two mentioned scenarios which are the steady state injection phase and survival loads case. Steady state conditions evaluate connection behaviors and its load envelope at sub-zero temperature ranging between -25 °C to -35 °C. Whereas for the survival load, sudden exposure to freezing temperature around -80 °C is considered. It is necessary to demonstrate that premium connections will maintain their structural and sealing integrity during these scenarios. The paper will be discussed the two methods described above are applied in real cases. Suitability to evaluate OCTG premium connections can be demonstrated as a result of this experiment.
