Year: 1989
Proceedings Title : Proc. Indon. Petrol. Assoc., 18th Ann. Conv., 1989
The Duri Steamflood Project is rapidly increasing in size and is expected to become the largest steamflood project in the world sometime during 1989 based on gross oil production. A computerized database system was installed in Duri to help the Engineering and Operations personnel to more effectively manage a project of this scope and complexity. The development of this database was done through a close cooperation between Caltexs Duri Petroleum Engineering and Information Systems Division personnel. This paper will describe the reasons this system was felt to be necessary, its development and the effects it has had on the operations of the Duri Steamflood Project.
