High capacity artificial lift alternatives in the offshore environment

This paper assesses some of the artificial lift needs of the offshore industry and endeavours to highlight those areas which are independently critical to functional simplicity, reliability, safety and economics. The importance of planning for artificial lift requirements at the onset of development can be shown to be vital to optimum field economic performance.
