Hydrocyclones: a solution to produced water treatment for offshore development - Abstract
Year: 1998
Proceedings Title : Proc. Indon. Petrol. Assoc., 26th Ann. Conv., 1998
In light of the progression into deeper water and more hostile environments in the search for new oil and gas reserves, an increased demand is placed upon the oil industry to develop lighter, more compact, and more efficient process equipment to replace their traditional counterparts. The large space and weight requirements for conventional Produce Water Treatmert (PWT) systems (Skim Tanks, CPI's floating cells) could have a large negative impact on the overall economies of deep water development.Recent advances in static hydrocyclone technology fcr PWT has added an attractive alternative to the conventional systems.
