Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is one of the Subsidiary of Upstream Pertamina. PHE have 58 subsidiaries which consists of 20 as Operator, 14 in participating (Non-Operator), 15 Unconventional and 9 as non-active companies. From these 58 subsidiaries, 21 subsidiaries are very active in term of subsurface activities; e.g. proposing Plan of Development, Development Wells, Subsurface Study, Workover etc. The area of PHE are spread out from Sumatera until Papua with 70% already mature but have more than half billion of proved reserves (Figure 1). PHE Subsurface Development Head Office is one of the Division in PHE Organization which has the role to select and recommend the subsurface activities to be in the work & program budget in each year. Therefore, Subsurface Development is part of a critical aspect for business process. The Subsurface Asset Funneling (SAF) is one of the tools to filter the proposal with reviewing in geophysical, geological, reservoir and production aspect comprehensively and continuously. The SAF is also part of emphasizing to implement a Good Reservoir Management (RM) to result a reliable planning & analysis and finally to maximize asset value in PHE. This paper presents the success story of implementing a Good Reservoir Management (RM) in mature asset and the plan to maximize oil and gas reserves.
