This paper presents a design of a Single Point Mooring System for a Floating Offshore Storage and Liquefaction (or regasification) Facility. Details are presented for a system which uses existing technology to provide an efficient, safe method for storing, exporting and importing LNG, or any other material whichcan be handled in pipelines. This concept allows construction of a loading facility in a relatively short time, and at reduced cost, when compared to on-shore port facilities.
