For several years, TOTAL E&P INDONESIE has instigated, promoted and financed several scientific studies related to the Sustainable Development of the Mahakam Delta. Facing increasing demand from Indonesian Authorities, NGOs and from different stakeholders in the Mahakam Delta to disseminate the results of those studies, TOTAL E&P INDONESIE decided to publish a book titled The Mahakam Delta Book.The Mahakam Delta Book gathers the total of the social, economical and environmental data available on the Mahakam Delta as well as the know-how of TOTAL E&P INDONESIE on sustainable practices likely to protect the unique systems of the Delta.TOTAL E&P INDONESIE is maintaining a “high profile portfolio of sustainable development actions which are needed due to the extreme sensitivity of the Mahakam Delta both environmentally and socially.The dissemination of the knowledge acquired by the Company is part of its contribution to the Sustainable Development of the Delta.The Mahakam Delta Book, disseminated both in Bahasa Indonesia and in English, is a key component of the Sustainable Development knowledge sharing of TOTAL E&P INDONESIE.
