With continuous change in subsurface morphology, the fluid characteristics keep changing from the original, intended design requiring modifications to the equipment/ systems to operate beyond the limits of the design boundaries. Additionally, the deliverability/characteristics of the component (equipment/structure or a system) changes with the time requiring assessment and modification to optimize marginal assets. The paper also addresses the importance of addressing the aging effect of the facilities for a sustainable business continuity and asset longevity to benefit the operator.
