The research is located in Permata Field, Central Sumatra Basin, approximately 45 km North West of Pekanbaru. The study is only focused on the Baja Reservoir. The Baja reservoir is the next target of exploration and exploitation activities in the Central Sumatra Basin, as a result of the slowing down of production in the reservoirs in the Sihapas group. To support these activities, an accurate and advanced research method is required. A study of the Baja Reservoir distribution using seismic attributes was conducted to determine proposed locations for well development. This research is done by using well data and 3D seismic data. By picking horizon in 3D seismic, it will produce a time structure map that will be extracted with amplitude extraction. The result of this extraction is seismic attribute data. These seismic attributes will be integrated with well data to produce the isopach map using the cross plot property method. The depth structure map obtained from Horizon Baja mapping in 3D seismic shows the subsurface morphology of this area is a big anticline, with some N-S and NE-SW fault structures in the F2 and F3 phase or the Early Miocen-Resen identified. The distribution of gross sand base on the isopach map analysis is in the Western and Eastern sides of the area and the net sand, assumed as the reservoir, is distributed in the Western and North Western side of the area. The integration of the net sand map and structure map concludes a proposed development well with 31.31 feet thickness of net sand and the top of this reservoir is at 1810.84 feet TVDSS. The trap is controlled by faulted closure.
