This paper describes a lowdensitj. foam cement system which is prepared by mixing nitrogen gas and special surfiactants with M I cement. The optimizationof nitrogen contlent as a percent of the cement slurry and the variations essential to achieve constant slurry density throughout the cement column are described herein as well as the specialty equipment required to control and monitor the gas slurry ratio.The paper will describe applications of this new cement systems in the far east and will include a case history of one job done in Indonesia.
