Proceedings Title : Proc. Indon. Petrol. Assoc., 31st Ann. Conv., 2007
A reservoir model was set up for a small gas field based on the data of 6 exploration wells, 3D seismic and analogue data. The seismic information was mainly used for building the structural model and for defining the channel outline. The well logs were the input to facies and reservoir property modeling. The information based on analogue data played a key role in modeling the channel thickness and the definition of the channel axis, channel margin and the NtG value range. The uncertainty of the model parameters was captured using the concept of a Low, Base and a High case. With the help of Experimental Design the model parameters that were most influential on the reservoir volume were identified. Based on these parameters a new Experimental Design was setup and with the help of the Monte Carlo technique the volume distribution derived.Key words: Reservoir modeling, parameter uncertainty, analogue data, Experimental Design
