The number of Recordable and Lost Time Accidents of contractors contribute significantly to Totals Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR), Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) as well as impacting overall Company Safety Statistics.Several programs have been initiated to improve Contractors safety performance by giving essential Company HSE knowledge to Contractors Supervisors and Foremen at the front line of hazardous activities.Implementation focused on Contractors Supervisors knowledge and skills when working under TOTAL E&P INDONESIE requirements and also to attain a real operational HSE awareness endorsed by an official certification to work as a contractor of TOTAL E&P INDONESIE.An HSE Certification expert consultant was selected, who conducted workshops under Company guidelines.The workshops cover 40 hours/batch, including essential Company Customized HSE issues.Upon completion of the workshop, the Contractors Supervisor will be able to achieve the following minimum capabilities: inspect tools and equipment in line with companys HSE rules, control and supervise the crew in line with companys HSE standards, analyze the scope of work, understand the procedures and be able to implement the required HSE precautions, conduct pre-job meetings and reinforce the understanding of HSE precautions, produce required reports of accidents and incidents.
