Since 2019, The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business, Republic of Indonesia (SKK Migas), has launched upstream oil and gas transformation programs that carry out a big vision to achieve oil production to 1 million BOPD and gas production to 12,000 MMSCFD. The strategic plan, also known as Indonesia Oil and Gas 4.0 (IOG 4.0), contains some program pillars to increase production and associated enablers supporting implementation of the strategic pillars by integration of process, people, and technology. The transformation enablers underlying process improvement have been translated into programs such as organizational and human resource management towards a center of excellence, simplification of permit process through one door service policy, acceleration of commercial potential and digitalization as part of the technology adoption. The Focus of this paper is to update the digitalization programs that have been developed by SKK Migas by means of building an Integrated Operation Center (IOC), that serves as a command center for monitoring and coordinating various activities related to upstream oil and gas operations in Indonesia. It has been established since 2019 and already equipped with various technologies . The presented work achievements include new features of operation reporting dashboards, extended Plant Information Management Systems (PIMS), early warning systems, Pipe Leak Detection Systems (PLDS), and analytical systems where the new features are more to complement the simplification of monitoring and supervision in terms of the decision making process. In addition, some transformation motivated by the IOC development is also described, namely how the IOC serves as digital data storage changing the monitoring approach, serving as an industrial show case and as a digital transformation driver.
