The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee System is a two-way mechanism to communicate HSE issues, concerns, information etc throughout the Company organization and via the Line Management of the Divisions and Departments : top-down from General Management (GM) level to the Site operations bottom-up from the Site personnel to the General Management (GM) levelThere are five types of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committees as follows. General Management Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee6-monthly meeting chaired by President & General Manager and attended by Managers and some concerned Departments. Division Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) CommitteeQuarterly meetings chaired by the respective Division Manager and attended by all Departments and some services in the Division. Department Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) CommitteeQuarterly meetings chaired by Manager of Authorities Coordination, Supply and Contract Division and attended by all Department and some services in the Division. Site Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) CommitteeBi-monthly meeting chaired by Responsible of Safety and Environment on Site (RSES) or Head of activity and attended by various Site entities and third party contractors working on Site. Ad-Hoc Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) CommitteeA tailor made organization of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee which deals with specific conditions or circumstances, mainly short period of activity.To ensure consistency of information transmittal, some personnel are assigned to be members of two adjacent committee levels.Any participant is required to cascade the information to his/ her subordinates. He/She can use the opportunity of small meetings such as No Comment Presentation, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Talks, Pre-Job Meetings, etc. to spread the messages of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee and also to get feedback from them.Presence of personnel from Contractors working on Sites/Activities on the Site Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Committee makes them to be actively involved in the Safety and Environment activities. It has a significant contribution on Safety and Environment performance as they are dominating the number of personnel working in the Company.Main role of the meeting is managed by the respective Divisions or Sites/Activities. It helps a better distribution of Safety and Environment responsibility to non Safety and Environment Divisions.
