A study of Hydroprocessing to produce lube oil base stock and middle distillate fuels based on Minas Waxy Residue as feed stock has been carried out. Thorough literature study gives indication to the possible yield pattern which could be achieved by Hydroconversion Process. Economic calculation based on production of 100.000 metric ton/year lubricant base stock has been carried out. Comparison is made with the use of conventional method to produce the same amount of lube base stock using the same feedstock.
