Hydrocracking of vacuum distillate of Minas Waxy Residue for lubricant base stock and fuel oil production 'has been carried out with high temperature and high pressure, using Ni-Mo/A1203- Si02 catalyst.The result obtained is: Fraction up to 80°C wt % on feedstock: 0.63, Fraction 80 - 150°C : 4.53, Fraction 150 - 250°C : 13.51, Fraction 250 - 380°C : 31.90, Fraction 380°C : 49.07 The fraction 380°C was dewaxed and giving, Wax: wt % on feedstock : 24.4 Lubricant base stock : 24.67. The viscosity index of lubricant base stock is 139 and the pour point is -9°C.
