Identification of Distribution Sandstone Reservoir Zone and Hydrocarbon Fluid Using Extended Elastic Impedance (EEI) in Talang Akar Formation at Azzura Field, North West Java Basin

The Azzura Field is located in the North West Java Basin and the target zone is horizon TAF-3.2A which is located in the Talang Akar Formation with lithology of sandstone, shale and coal. The well TIERRA-08 is a hydrocarbon prospect gas well and is proven by the result of the well test summary. The analysis of lithology and hydrocarbon fluid distribution used the Extended Elastic Impedance Inversion Method with optimum chi angle (?) of 18 �, Lambda-Rho as the sensitive parameter. The inversion result is sliced to lateral map distribution of EEI Lambda-Rho 18 � values. Based on the maps, EEI inversion showed sandstone lithology distribution of the target zone, TAF-3.2A, in the amount of 19 - 30 MPa*gr/cc and the hydrocarbon fluid distribution of gas in the amount of 19 - 27 MPa*gr/cc of Lambda-Rho Value. Based on electrofacies analysis, the target zone was deposited in channel environment with the thickness of the target zone being 15 m.
