Year: 2007
Proceedings Title : Proc. Indon. Petrol. Assoc., 31st Ann. Conv., 2007
For a long time, data has been realized as an invaluable asset for Oil & Gas companies. Working with exploration and production data means working with dynamic, integrated, very expensive, and difficult in acquisition assets. Most importantly, data will always be used as long as it has not been updated. Managing EP data, mostly collecting and integrating, are critical to reduce company time and resource in exploration and production activities. The needs for reliable oil & gas data management system is responded by computer technology with an integrative and interactive data management system. Inameta Plus is a GIS (Geographic Information System) web-based data management system, supported by Oracle RDBMS (Relational DataBase Management System) and .Net framework as web-server platform, ensuring high security and reliability for user. In simple terms, Inameta Plus manages all EP activities information and documents of Pertamina EP Region Jawa owned in over than 60 oil and gas fields in North West Java Basin. With more than 500 wells, the area produces over 20,000 bbls oil and over 500 mmscf natural gas. It also produces more than 18,780 EP documents, over 400 geological maps, more than 350 seismic digital files (seg-y format), 1400 digital log data (LAS format), more than 9000 hardcopy logging documents, and almost 2000 surface facility documents. These data are collected, completed, digitalized, and shown in a simple, integrative, cross-related historical well profile providing added value for user to ensure maximum function in minimum time access is given. In the end, data management system encourage engineers and earth scientists to give input for management levels in making strategic company decision, driving exploration and production direction more efficiently. Most importantly, data management system means commitment for everybody in the company to realize all kind of data are invaluable in their particular way and need to be maintained properly. Keywords: Data management, GIS, web-based, RDBMS, well history, integrative
