Initial corrosion control efforts for the gas wells at the Badak field were only partially successful. This was due to unreliable corrosion monitoring. After a gas well tubing corrosion failure, improved treating and monitoring techniques were used.The monitoring data from the gas wells have shown the need for an improved downhole corrosion inhibitor.Flowlines and gas dehydrating facilities are receiving adequate protection.
