There has been considerable interest in base load LNG projects since the first plant went onstream in 1964 at Arzew, Algeria. This paper reviews the worldwide LNG situation today, including the projects that are operating, under construction, and p1anned.h addition,the detailed steps required to put a project together will be presented, ipcluding a discussion of liquefaction plant implementation. Following this, there will be a discussion of economics and financing of LNG projects.
