PT. Pilona Petro Tanjung Lontar (PPTL) consists of four oil fields, namely, A, B, C, and D, all located in the Southwest part of South Palembang Basin. The reservoir discussed in this paper is the Muara Enim Formation (MEF) which was deposited as a fluviodeltaic system. The deltaic deposition system yield various reservoir facies, with lateral reservoir distribution and correlation a bit problematic to correlate. To address the problem further Sequence Stratigraphic and Facies analyses is required.Research analysis was supported by 2D and 3D seismic data, wire-line logs, sidewall cores, outcrops and biostratigraphic data. Seismic data and logs were used to determine Sequence Boundaries and Maximum Flooding Surfaces. Further, the paleoenvironment of MEF was obtained from Biostratigraphic and outcrop data. In observed outcrops the presence of flashers and lenticuler sedimentary structures indicated Tide-Dominated Deltas. Biostratigraphic data were taken from cuttings, the fossil assemblage resulted from biostratigraphic analysis, and log data were used to interpret Sequence Stratigraphy in the study area. The MEF is marked by the presence of coal layers which disappear in the Air Benakat Formation. The wire-line log, Biostrat and core data indicated that the MEF cycle is dominated by fining upward. SB within MEF is marked by the presence of thick continuous coal layers.Based on a sequence stratigraphy analysis, the MEF can be divided into two Sequence Boundaries and 3 Maximum Flooding Surfaces of the Third Order Cycle. Further, more Facies distribution analysis within Sequence Stratigraphy frame-work resulted in lobe orientation of Tide-Dominated Deltas with major trending of SW-NE and the ancient MEF shore-line is estimated to be perpendicular to lobe orientation.Keyword: sequence stratigraphy, facies analysis, Muara Enim formation
