PHE OSES is one of oil companies which has a field located in Southeast Sumatera. PHE OSES having vision to increase and contribute to achieve Indonesia 1million barrel oil production. Following their vision, PHE OSES started their journey with OLGA transient multiphase flow simulator then used to help with the bottleneck issue, flow assurance identification and optimization scenario analysis.
OLGA successfully modeled the whole PHE OSES asset with 250 oil wells, 90 offshore pipeline and integrating both well and pipeline. This study marks the first-massive usage of OLGA in Indonesia. From the transient model, bottleneck identification and optimization plan has been defined. North Business Unit is identified as a field with high water cut and lead to high backpressure issue. Optimization plan to reactivate Free Water Knockout brought in place with purpose to reduce backpressure and increase the production. Central Business Unit is having a severe wax issue and resulting in pipeline plugging. Wax operational guide will be constructed together as mitigation and prevention plan. South Business Unit having similar problem with NBU which is high backpressure issue and scale issue. Reducing backpressure and several choke scenarios have been run to find the best optimization scenario.
Overall, from the Integrated Well and Network Transient Model (INTM) various flow assurance issues have been identified and optimization plan has been studied to find the best scenario and production increase. INTM is now the starting point of digitalization road map in PHE OSES. Transformation from analog to digital with purposes to reach automatic INTM data feeding, and simulation run. INTM now become PHE OSES pioneer for their vision to reach digitalization and intelligence oil and gas field.
